Interesting: I am also a twin, also fraternal, my sister is 5 minutes younger than me.
Why this site: My husband and I have been to the Jesus Loves You New York Outreach a couple of times in the early eighties, and stumbled upon this site when I looking up to see how your parents ministry is doing. I love your site Jeremy and am inspired by all that you do for the people in your community.
Also, am I the Tacoma reader or are there more of us?

April, so glad you found us! Some of my favorite memories are as a kid at the early days of Jesus Loves You New York. They played a major role in shaping who I am now and the ministry of Xcel. Do you recall which years you attended? Were they the Wagner College years or the LIU years? I'm not sure if you are the only Tacoma reader or if there are more. We'll see by who else replies to this introduction.

Scott, it was great meeting you in
LA (however briefly) and look forward to reconnecting very soon. RWK, what part of Ontario? I visited Toronto earlier this year and would love to return.

Jeremy, We attended in the Wagner College years. After I posted I realized that it was the late eighties, probably about 1988 & 1989.

April, you've peaked my curiosity. Did you come to JLYNY with a group, or by yourself? We always had a good crew from Washington state with Art Neyland and Mike Parrot. Were you part of there group? I'm sure I must have met you.

Jeremy, We came by ourselves. Our church had a street evangilism seminar led by Mark & Janalee Johnson from Forerunner Ministries and Soldiers For Jesus, Ken & Bill Henderson. We were introduced to JLYNY through them and they encouraged us to to go, so we did. Bruce, my husband remembers meeting your dad at an outreach we went to at the Seattle Center. And yes, I did meet you and your brothers, you were all quite young at the time. Our time in NY was an eye opening experience for me as I had lived quite a safe and sheltered life. My experience there was life changing and filled me with compassion for others. As I continue on this journey, I am constantly humbled by the great compassion God has for me. I can only pray that I show compassion to others as he has shown to me. April

Jamie,

Great to "meet" you. I've read your comments on some of my friends' blogs, like Rudy, Jose and Mayra, Liz, etc., and have visited yours quite a bit as well. We host many YWAM teams at Generation Xcel and Abounding Grace Ministries. I look forward to getting better acquainted ...
