Why the Yankees lost

- Their vaunted offense forgot how to hit. - Three RBIs from their three 100 RBI men. - Randy Johnson and Mike Mussina performed like bottom-of-the-rotation pitchers when they needed to play like the gazillionaire first and second starters they are. - Roger Clemens, Andy Petite, Orlando "El Duque" Hernandez, and Jose Contreras pitch for the Astros and White Sox, teams that are still alive in the playoffs and which may find themselves facing each other in the World Series. For future reference: How to shut down A-Rod: Drill him in the back. See BoSox, 2004 ALCS game 3 (or 4), after he had rocked them for 3 games and lived up to his billing in the ALDS; and Angels, 2005 ALDS, game 1 (or 2) when he crumpled into a heap and never recovered.
