Almost caught in the wave

This sea of humanity nearly engulfed me on my commute home today. At 5:10 they were approached 8th Street on Broadway. Had I arrived 2 minutes later, I would have been stuck across the street from the subway entrance, waiting for as long as it took a wave estimated at 350,000 - 500,000 strong to pass.
